PACIJENT DANAS - RIJEKA

Udruga Pacijent danas osnovana je 2002.godine u Rijeci.
Tijekom rada udruge Pacijent danas, ostvarili smo dobre kontakte s ostalim udrugama oboljelih i onima koje se bave promicanjem i zaštitom prava pacijenata.
Časopis Pacijent danas koji izdaje naša udruga piše o problemima drugih udruga oboljelih, pojedinačnih problema pacijenata u ostvarivanju zdravstvene zaštite. Lokalna zajednica nam je dala novčanu potporu za rad, poslovni sektor pomogao donacijama, a mediji prate naš rad, od TV do dnevnih i tjednih novina. Riječki Novi list objavljuje pojedinačne akcije o pravima pacijenata vezane uz rad udruge, na press konferencije udruge dolaze predstavnici raznih medijskih kuća, predsjednica udruge je bila gost u nekoliko TV emisija iz područja zaštite prava pacijenata od lokalne do državne TV.

Tijekom postojanja udruge, ostvarili smo nekoliko projekata, a pojedini su dugoročnog karaktera, kao npr. časopis i web portal za pacijente.

Predsjednica udruge Pacijent danas,mr.Nevenka Skendžić diplomirala je 1986. godine na Pedagoškom fakultetu u Rijeci, smjer - Pedagogija u radnim organizacijama, na temu Pripravnički staž medicinskih sestara u KBC Rijeka, te stekla stručni naziv profesor, pedagog.
1993 godine sudjelovala radu Društva turističke medicine pri Hrvatskom liječničkom zboru, te jedno vrijeme bila i član uredništva Biltena društva.
1998.godine pohađala zdravstveni menadžment organiziran u Opatiji u Specijalnoj bolnici Thalassotherapia Opatija na temu Zdravlje i zdravstvena politika.
1999. do 2006. godine sudjelovala u Motovunskoj ljetnoj školi unaprjeđenja zdravlja., te na Kongresima obiteljske medicine pod nazivom Dani primarne zdravstvene zaštite.
2002 godine predsjednica udruge Pacijent danas, osnivač i urednica časopisa Pacijent danas, kojemu je osnovna namjena promocija zdravlja, kvalitete rada i komunikacije u zdravstvu, te promicanje civilnog društva u zdravstvenom sektoru.
2005.godine na Medicinskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu iz područja Javnog zdravstva obranila magistarski rad na temu Zadovoljstvo pacijenata zdravstvenim uslugama u ordinacijama opće/obiteljske medicine grada Rijeke.
2005-do 2007 godine član Povjerenstva za prava pacijenata Ministarstva zdravstva i socijalne skrbi.
2007-2010 godine član Savjeta za razvoj civilnoga društva Vlade Republike Hrvatske, predstavnik civilnog društva za grupu zdravlje i promicanje kvalitete življenja.

2005 - Master of science (Msc) - Postgraduate study at Medical School, Universtiy of Zagreb-Department of Public Health, Title of postgraduate work: "The evaluation of patient's satisfaction with medical treatment and services in GP offices in the town of Rijeka".
2002 - Cofounder and President of the NGO society "Patient today"("Pacijent danas"), a non-profit organization for promotion and protection of legal rights of patients to equal opportunity in basic medical care

PATIENT TODAY - Rijeka, CROATIA

A non-profit organization (NGO society) "Patient today" (cro."Pacijent danas") was established on 2002 in the town of Rijeka in order to help all the patients from the region in searching for their constitutional, basic and legal rights to fair medical treatment and equal opportunity in getting proper medical care. The society is open to the public and serves to all patients in meeting their basic needs in medical care, as well as, helping the patients in protecting their basic human right to equal opportunitiy in medical treatment. "Patient today" offers free counseling and legal assistance in the field of health care. During the three year period of our work we have established an excellent network based on communication and contacts with other organizations and associations of similar interests in the field of promoting and protecting the rights of patients in Croatian health care system. Our society is editing a free magazine " The Patient today" in order to help patents in their right to get more accurate informations concerning their constitutuional and legal rights in the field of health care system. The financial support for the work of the society is provided by local community budget for non-govermental organizations and by charity and donations from different buissnes companies in Croatia. As we are open to the public, the Croatian media is covering our work on the regular basis, particulary the local newspaper "Novi List" as well as other local and national radio and TV networks which also serves to better transparency in our work. We had several press conferences in order to inform the public in Croatia about our actions. As the president of society I was personally invited several times as a guest on local and national TV, discussing the problems of patients and their legal rights in the healthcare system in Croatia.
We have several long-term projects such as publishing the news in our free magazine and creating the web-site with daily updates on the rights of patient which requires substantial amount of time and financial support.

Current projects of society "Patient today":

1. Publication and edition of free magazine "Pacijent danas" ("The Patient today") - helping the public in introducing and presenting their legal rights in the health care system. The magazine is distributed to all health care institutions such as GP offices, hospitals and other medical institutions in Croatia.
2. Web site www.pacijenti.hr - serves exclusively to support and give assistance to all patients in Croatia in satsfying and protecting their basic legal rights in the field of medical care in our country.
3. Project "Knjiga utisaka" ("The book of impressions/complaints") distributed in the GP offices in Rijeka - serves basically to get the public opinion on the quality of service in general practice and by collecting the data in trying to improve the quality of work and service in the field of general practice.
4. The society is an active member of the National Board for the right of patient and active member of Comitee for the right of patient established by Ministry of Health and Social services
5. Project "Podrška pacijentima" ("Patient support") aimed to introduce the rationale in pharmacotherapy
The activity of the NGO society "Patient today" is based on active monitoring in implementation of patient's legal rights in the health care system and education of all participants in the field. Activity of NGO "Patient today" is supported by leading organization for civil rights HHO - Croatian Helsinki Committee for human rights, offering assistance in pursuing our goals and realization of the project of our society.

“Il Paziente di Oggi” Fiume (Croazia), associazione e stata fondata l'anno 2002 e si occupa dei diritti dei pazienti, nello scopo di migliorare la qualita di l'assistenza sanitaria e pubblica. L'omonima rivista “PACIJENT DANAS” (“Il Paziente di Oggi”) e destinata ai pazienti, operatori sanitari, e chiunque sia interessato ai problemi di salute dei cittadini.
